The Environmental Film Festival Melbourne began in 2010 with a vision to inform and inspire people on environmental issues and has since grown into one of Melbourne's most notable environmental social events. Showcasing a diverse range of the best environmental films from Australia and around the world and drawing large crowds from all over Victoria, EFFM has stitched its way into the diverse tapestry of Melbourne's arts and cultural life.

The competition in 2013 is well underway: Next week is the first of the participants its production run, and the weeks after the others follow. The first meeting has already been progress. There are critical questions and everyone went away with ideas on the next steps. This progress meetings are intended to assist in the search for sustainable innovations, to inspire innovative insights while the jury the opportunity to see where the participants are doing. Participants at The jury was impressed by the energy and the will to cooperate who spoke from the different stories.

Internationally renowned as the largest and most prestigious industry gathering of the nature media genre, the foundation of the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is our biennial Film Competition. Decisions made here impact careers, and we go to great effort to make certain the caliber of the judges as well as the process and criteria for reviewing entries creates a competition that is thorough and unbiased.
Unlike virtually any other competition, every entry is screened in its entirety by at least three (and sometimes as many as 18) judges in the preliminary rounds. Preliminary judges from around the world have access to entries via our secure online screening room, to ensure broad geographic and cultural representation. Hi, Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River will be hosting the second annual Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival Nov. 8th, 9th and 10th, 2013. One of the submission categories included in the festival is a student section, which is open to accepting films from students. We are hoping to showcase in particular student films from the Pacific Northwest region. Acceptance of student projects into the film festival is not guaranteed but we hope to show as many student films as possible.

Local Producer Revitalizes 36th Annual International Wildlife Film Festival Come Back to the Wild, April 27 - May 4, 2013
The International Wildlife Film Festival is the first festival of its kind and the longest running wildlife film festival and conservation conference in the world. We have a longstanding international reputation for finding and nurturing the best wildlife films from around the globe, and facilitating dialogues on issues of nature and conservation. This year, we aim to make a local splash: entice Montanans back into the Roxy by offering a rich variety of fun screenings and events, and creating opportunities for the community to engage with luminaries from the fields of wildlife filmmaking and conservation.
Our secret weapon: incoming IWFF producer Mike Steinberg. Mike joins the festival after transforming the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival into a nationally acclaimed event. Steinberg dramatically grew the audience with inventive ideas to engage the community, found opportunities to connect local groups with films, and turned that small, underground festival into a highly anticipated, celebrated annual event. After raising the stature of one community event, he's now bringing his vision and energy to the IWFF. His three main focal points this year:
